PayPal is probably the best known service for sending money online and allows you to send money to almost anyone with an email address.
PayPal is a great service for sending money in developed countries with strong banking systems.
But while PayPal’s system is fast and convenient for anyone living in the US and/or with a US bank account, sending money to someone in the developing world may meet with problems.
While it is true that almost anyone with an email can receive money by PayPal, actually withdrawing that money in CASH from a local bank account can be a problem in many developing countries.
You may be out of luck if you do not have a US bank account and want to get cash in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Iceland, Israel, Malaysia, Peru, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam…
So while PayPal is great for online payments, it depends on local banks and bank accounts for many things.
But what if you want to send someone cash? You need to look to some of the CASH money transfer services like these:
- Western Union
